Bregman among special guests for New Mexico Baseball Coaches Association Clinic

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Albuquerque’s Alex Bregman is getting ready to start spring training with the Astros.

This week, he spent some time with coaches from his home state.

The Albuquerque Academy graduate was a special guest for the New Mexico Baseball Coaches Association Clinic.

The virtual clinic was moderated by Rio Rancho’s Ron Murphy.

Bregman talked about his early days, growing up in the Land of Enchantment, how it shaped him and the impact made by coaches in Albuquerque.

"Just a ton of guys that were really not just good baseball coaches, but positive influences on my life and friends still to this day," Bregman said.

The clinic continues all week.

UNM’s Ray Birmingham will be a guest speaker on Wednesday.
