Jaelyn Hendren on what makes the UNM women’s soccer team special

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Jaelyn Hendren is an impact player on the UNM women’s soccer team.

She helped the Lobos reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.

She brings great defense and leadership to the team.

Her teammates credit her with inspiring the team in the huddle, heading into overtime in their win over San Diego State.

"There’s a good selection of people that bring a lot of high energy, and I think that’s something that’s really special about this team is that we’re, honestly, just really weird in that sense and that makes a real fun practice and game environment," Hendren said.

The Lobos kick off the NCAA Tournament with Navy Tuesday at 4 p.m.
