Isotopes pick up first win of the season

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Isotopes picked up their first win of the season Sunday.

The Isotopes picked up the lead in the first inning after Greg Bird hit a homer over the right field fence.

That was Bird’s first homer in Albuquerque.

The Isotopes beat the Sugar Land Skeeters, 6-4.

The two teams will face off again Monday at 6:35 p.m.
