ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man is in critical condition after getting shot by Albuquerque police.
Investigators say it started with a call about someone walking around with an assault rifle near Wilson Park around 2 p.m. Tuesday. They claim that person matched a description of someone wanted for homicide.
Police say they didn’t find that person then, but hours later near Silver Avenue and Adams Street they saw the car and went after them.
A number of people in the car took off, and police say one was holding a gun.
Police shot and hit the suspect – they were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Two other suspects who ran from police were arrested for felony warrants.
