Ashby’s journey from Aruba to Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Lenny Junior Ashby has come a long way to play baseball for the Lobos.
He’s a proud native of Aruba, an island just north of Venezuela. Ashby is the second baseball player from Aruba to play Division 1 baseball.
He came to UNM from Odessa College and leads the team in home runs, RBI, and hits.
He’s honored to represent his country and his family.
