Desert Willow seventh-grader wins inaugural National Civics Bee

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Seventh-grader Anna Richardson won the inaugural National Civics Bee held Tuesday in Albuquerque.
Richardson, of Desert Willow Family School, correctly answered every question. She received a cash award and a pair of Southwest Airlines tickets as a bonus prize.
Richardson was presented the award by KOB 4 General Manager Michelle Donaldson.
Albuquerque was the first of six cities to host a National Civics Bee competition.
