NEW MEXICO — A winter storm is making its way across New Mexico and we’re already seeing some pretty sights you shared with us Thursday.

The snow hit western New Mexico before the sun rose. Shawna DuBoise reported four inches of snow around 2:30 a.m.

Later on, we received a report of seven inches of snow in Gallup, by far the most in the area.

Folks in the Four Corners saw snow. Susan Rempe captured this picture of alpacas playing in the snow Thursday morning in Bloomfield.

We also received pictures from Farmington, where 3.5 inches of snow reportedly fell, and Shiprock, five inches reportedly fell.

The snow moved across the I-40 corridor, dumping snow as it moved toward the Albuquerque metro. Janice Montano reported 3.5 inches of snow in Bluewater, between Grants and Gallup.

Soon, the snow made its way to the Albuquerque metro and northern New Mexico. Four inches of snow reportedly fell in Taos while 1-3 inches were reported around Santa Fe.

Charlie got the chance to play in the snow up in Stanley, just north of Moriarty.

In Cloudcroft, the snow was already falling Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 82. Nearby Ruidoso saw 2.5 inches of snow.
