Police: Fatal accident leaves one pedestrian dead

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — APD is investigating a fatal vehicle crash involving a pedestrian Saturday morning.

One female pedestrian died at the scene near Rio Grande Boulevard and Indian School after she was struck by a black Nissan SUV.

The female was reportedly crossing the street when she was hit.

APD said speed and alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor.

This investigation is ongoing.
