BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. — Deputies are investigating a crash that left two people dead Thursday morning on eastbound Interstate 40 near Albuquerque.

The crash happened overnight at around mile marker 143. The closure is at mile marker 140, near the Route 66 Casino.

BCSO closed the eastbound lanes and one westbound lane for hours Thursday. They’re now back open.
