Police seek info on overnight stabbing, robbery at UNM

Police released photos of a suspect accused of stabbing and robbing someone overnight on the UNM campus. They're also offering a reward for information on the incident.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information about a stabbing and robbery overnight near Johnson Field on the UNM campus.

Upon further investigation, they found the suspect grabbed the victim’s green backpack and taunted them to try and get it back. Then, the suspect pulled out a 2-3 inch knife and stabbed the victim on the left tricep before leaving the scene south off of campus with the backpack.

There is no word on the victim’s condition.

Police are now searching for that suspect. They gave this description:

  • Native American man, 150 lbs., approximately five-foot, seven inches tall to 5-foot-9
  • Dark hair
  • Black baseball cap
  • Black pants
  • White tennis shoes
