Albuquerque will likely set a new daily record-high temperature Monday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque is one of many places in New Mexico that will likely set a new daily record-high temperature Monday before a cooldown comes Tuesday.
The high temperature that is forecast for Albuquerque is 92°. That would break the old daily record-high temperature for Sept. 30 of 91°, set back in 1979.
It’s not all warm weather, however. A few isolated showers are developing along the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and in the Four Corners between Chinle and Gallup. That is where a high-pressure ridge is stationed, bringing very warm temperatures into our area, for now.
A backdoor cold front will usher in cooler temperatures and canyon winds in some places. The mountains may see some isolated gusty storms.
Meteorologist Kira Miner shares all the details in her full forecast in the video above.
