ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — PNM reported that around 50,000 customers experienced power outages Thursday morning in the areas of New Mexico they serve.

According to PNM, more than 100 crew members are working nonstop to restore these outages. A rep for PNM advised that people should be prepared for extended outages.

Around noon Thursday, they reported 9,000 customers have had their power restored and that 41,000 customers are still affected by outages.

Some customers may experience prolonged outages due ongoing weather conditions & the large number of outages,” a statement from PNM read.

There is no estimate on when they will be able to fully restore power. PNM advises you to be cautious and alert for crews who may be working on the side of the road.
