New Mexico reports 45 new deaths, 4,991 additional COVID-19 cases over five-day period

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) reported 45 additional COVID-19-related deaths in a report that combines the data from Thursday through Monday.

The latest deaths include:

  • A male in his 40s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A second male in his 40s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 50s from Bernalillo County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A second male in his 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 5,355.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 4,991 additional COVID-19 cases over the five-day period. New Mexico has reported a total of 313,139 cases.
