ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Greg Bird got off to a good start for the Isotopes.
He hit his first home run Sunday night.
Bird spent four seasons with the Yankees, then joined the Rockies in 2020.
He missed last season with a calf injury and COVID-19.
This year he’s happy to be healthy and back on the field.
"We’re all supposed to go through things and deal with trials and deal with pain, so I wouldn’t say one is worse than the other– just the knowledge and experience I’ve gained is kind of what I am most appreciative of," he said.
