ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Big day for the New Mexico United, the soccer team signed Cristian Nava to a professional contract through 2023.
Nava is the first United academy player to go pro with the first team.
He won a state title at Albuquerque High in 2019.
“It was a really big decision for me and my family. It was like it took us a while to really think about it. Ever since I’ve signed, it’s been an incredible feeling you know, just having my dream job,” said Nava.
Nava will be available to play in Monday’s match in Austin.
