Gonzales said Lobos showing speed on the field

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Wednesday marked the second day of spring practice for the Lobos.

It was another day of players in helmets. Slowly but surely the players will be in shells, followed by full pads.

Coach Danny Gonzales said he is seeing a lot of speed on the field.

He said his overall goal is to get the players to play a solid brand of football.

"We definitely added some speed in the recruiting process," he said. "Now we just need to learn for these guys to be good football players."
