ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM men’s basketball team returned home Wednesday after their series with Colorado State was postponed due to COVID-19 contact tracing.
No one on the team has tested positive, according to the university.
The team hopes to be back on the court next week against Wyoming.
"The one thing we’ve learned is we don’t want to make a decision too quickly," said UNM Athletics Director Eddie Nunez. "First and foremost, we have to make sure our student athletes or coaches, our staff, their coaching staff, everybody associated, is healthy and safe. And then as we go through the week, and if everything continues to go well, then our expectation is we would play the next week."
