ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Search and rescue crews returned Thursday to the scene of a fatal rollover crash on Sandia Crest Road.
The Wednesday afternoon crash involved a vehicle that fell over 100 feet off the side of the road and down the mountain. One person was killed and one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Inclement weather postponed recovery efforts in the area between mile markers 4 and 5 where the crash happened.
Sandia Crest Road will be shut down at Tejano Canyon Road and no through traffic will be authorized. Crews will be working to salt and plow the roads while recovery operations continue.
