United adds new assistant coach

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- New Mexico United added a new member to its coaching staff.

Paul Leese, who formerly coach at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, will serve as Troy Lesesne’s assistant.

"I’ve enjoyed a long-standing friendship with Troy, going back to when we were both in the collegiate ranks," Leese said. "I was an assistant coach at Furman University. Troy was an assistant coach at the College of Charleston. They had a fantastic program down there, so we were only a few hours apart, so I would see Troy on the road quite a lot."

In addition to his role on the coaching staff, he will oversee United’s club team.
