ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM baseball team will get to host a home game following changes to the state’s public health order.
The Lobos will play Air Force Saturday and Sunday at the newly-renovated Santa Ana Star Field.
Coach Ray Birmingham said he can’t wait to get the team back on their home field.
"We’re excited," he said. "We want to show off the new ballpark. We want to show off the new team. We want to kick some butt in our home field. We love playing at home."
The players are also excited to be playing at home.
"To be able to drive 10-15 minutes to your own home ballpark, it’s really good news, and it is going to give us more juice," said Tristan Lively.
