UNM baseball team hopes to keep momentum going

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM baseball team is coming off a series win over Nevada, winning two out of the three games.

It’s their first series win since sweeping Air Force in their first conference games of the season.

Coach Ray Birmingham is optimistic because he believes the team could have won more games this season.

"We’ve had multiple leads in the eighth and ninth. Either the bullpen fails or the defense fails. It’s been trying to put it together because of the eighth and ninth we’re just fundamentally sound pitching hitting put the ball in play and playing routine catch We could probably flip seven games," Birmingham said.
