UNM soccer earns 7 MWC honors including Coach of the Year
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- UNM women’s soccer head coach Heather Dyche was named Thursday the Mountain West Coach of the Year.
“Receiving something like that is a reflection of an enormous group of people, and I’m the one that gets the credit, but it really is our entire staff, our entire team, and our entire athletic department,” said head coach Heather Dyche. “I think without any of that, you don’t have success. It’s a huge honor, and I am very appreciative of it, but, without question, I know that it’s a group award.”
The soccer team is 9-1 this season, and will play in the Mountain West Conference finals on April 17.
Five Lobos were also named to the Mountain West All-Conference First Team, and one was named Mountain West All-Newcomer Team.
