FARMINGTON, N.M.- A Johnson & Johnson vaccine clinic at Blanco Elementary in San Juan County was canceled due to inclement weather.
However, Kare Drug pharmacy was still offering the vaccine.
"We would like to make sure that we don’t displace too many people that were planning on getting vaccinated today," said Ashley Seyfarth, owner of the pharmacy. "In our Aztec location, only today only, we are going to offer walk-in appointment or just walk in visit today to get you vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson"
The pharmacy was scheduled to assist with the clinic in Blanco.
When it was canceled, the pharmacy used social media to get the word out.
"We’re doing all ages with any kind of medical condition at this point, as well as, finally, all essential personnel now qualify for the vaccine under the guidelines under the New Mexico Department of Health," Seyfarth said.
The health department will reschedule those who had an appointment at the clinic in Blanco.
Kare Drug will also be receiving more doses, so people can set up an appointment.
