New Mexico suffragist expected to appear on U.S. quarter

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A piece of New Mexico history is heading to people’s wallets.
Nina Otero-Warren will appear on some U.S. quarters next year.
According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, the New Mexico suffragist and educator is one of five women picked for the new program.
Otero-Warren helped lead efforts in New Mexico to secure voting rights for women.
