ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New numbers from the feds show the economy is growing. Despite ongoing concerns about a possible recession, President Joe Biden is pointing to low unemployment.

Americans also spent heavily at the end of 2022, even with high inflation, higher interest rates and many high-tech layoffs.

However, there are still warning signs that tougher days are ahead. KOB 4 asked an economics professor at UNM what that could mean for New Mexico.
