Albuquerque City Council to vote on pay bump for bilingual workers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — City councilors will likely vote Monday night on whether or not bilingual workers should get a boost in pay.
A resolution proposes giving bilingual workers a 5% increase in salary. The resolution includes interpreters who can communicate using American Sign Language.
Currently, the city of Albuquerque doesn’t pay bilingual workers extra.
