ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal crash that happened at the intersection of Coors and Sevilla Avenue NW Saturday morning.
APD shut down north and southbound Coors for hours. Police are blaming the crash on street racing.
According to APD, 20-year-old Isaiah Sena was trying to get someone else to race them. Police say Sena drove into the intersection on a red light and crashed into a black SUV. The driver of that SUV was killed.
Sena is in the hospital and has been charged with reckless driving and homicide by vehicle. Once he is released, police say he will be taken into custody.
