APD: Pedestrian injured in crash was wanted on outstanding warrant

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police reopened eastbound I-40 Tuesday afternoon after a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Juan Tabo.
According to APD, the pedestrian who was hit was wanted on multiple felony warrants related to drugs.
18-year-old Dominic Valencia was reportedly trying to run away from officers when he was hit by a car going east on I-40.
He’s currently recovering in the hospital to be treated for several broken bones and other injuries.
