ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police launched a homicide investigation at an Albuquerque park where a man was reportedly stabbed to death Thursday morning.
Around 6 a.m., Albuquerque police were called to Morningside Park, near a neighborhood where people there said they heard a man calling for help. Officers arrived at the park and found a man who was fatally stabbed.
“So at this time, violent crime and homicide detectives are behind us canvassing for witnesses,” APD Lt. Ray Del Greco said. “While they were canvassing for witnesses, they did locate one individual who may be a suspect in this incident that we have detained and are waiting to interview.”
Police did not say if they plan to charge that person. The victim hasn’t been identified.
