APD: Man shot, killed overnight in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A fight turned deadly overnight at an apartment complex in northeast Albuquerque.
Albuquerque police responded to the Sun Plaza Apartments, near Montgomery and Washington, where they discovered a man fatally shot. Police said he and another man fought at a party there, which led to the shooting.
“It seems to be an isolated incident, again an altercation that was sustained between two individuals, so there is no threat to the public,” APD Lt. Ray DelGreco said. “It appears these individuals knew each other, and we’re working to uncover who the offender was.”
Neither the victim nor the suspect have been identified.
By KOB 4’s count, this is the 51st homicide investigation this year by Albuquerque police.
