APD: Man struck, killed by motorcycle in NE Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police responded to a crash overnight in northeast Albuquerque where one person died after a motorcycle hit them.
Albuquerque police officers responded around 12:14 a.m. Tuesday to San Antonio Drive and Louisiana Boulevard. They arrived and confirmed a crash between a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
According to investigators, two people were riding a motorcycle eastbound on San Antonio, just east of the intersection with Louisiana.
There, a man reportedly ran into the road, right into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle struck the man, killing him.
Paramedics took the driver and passenger of the motorcycle to UNM Hospital for minor injuries. They’re expected to make a full recovery.
Police are blaming the crash on the pedestrian at this point in this investigation. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
