Albuquerque police are investigating a pedestrian crash involving one of their own vehicles.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police are investigating a pedestrian crash involving one of their own vehicles.
Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, police say an officer was traveling north on 98th, just north of Central, heading to the Northeast Area Command for a shift.
Just before Central, a woman reportedly stepped into traffic, leading to the crash.
The officer reportedly called dispatch, prompting medical personnel to the scene. They took the pedestrian to the hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police allege speed wasn’t a factor and that the officer hit the brakes before the crash with the pedestrian.
