ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – There are new details on a shooting involving U.S. Marshals in Albuquerque Monday.
The U.S. Marshals Service says officers were trying to arrest an escapee who hadn’t shown up to his halfway house since May 29.
On Monday, in the area near San Mateo and Montgomery, the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at officers, and at least one officer fired.
The suspect died at the scene, and no officers were hurt.
The U.S. Marshals Service believes this suspect was also connected to another incident in Bernalillo over the weekend, where he pointed a gun towards Bernalillo officers.
