Brett Luna: Heavy rainfall expected in northern New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Across New Mexico, storm chances will be elevated starting Wednesday, as heavier rainfall will hit especially in northern parts of the state.
It’s effectively a return to monsoon conditions as flood watches are posted across northern and western New Mexico. People in the burn scar areas should be cognizant of heavy rain that may cause flash floods, especially on Thursday when possibly torrential rainfall could occur.
