ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Some scattered thunderstorms will linger into Thursday night but it may be our last good chance of rain for a little while.
Stronger storms are expected again in northeast New Mexico, especially near Clayton and points north and east of Tucumcari that have already seen high winds, hail and rain.
Rain will be likely in north-central New Mexico and south of Albuquerque but north of I-10, near Silver City and Truth or Consequences, near where the Black Fire is burning and the Bear Trap Fire’s burn scar is.
Temperatures will be getting hot, hot, hot as record highs are likely this weekend, with no cure for our dry weather in sight yet.
