Congressional Debate: District 1 candidates Melanie Stansbury and Steve Jones

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – We are less than three weeks away from Election Day. It’s time for New Mexicans to decide who will represent us in Congress.

This marks the second election in which our state is using revised district boundaries.

Tonight’s debate is for Congressional District 1 which covers most of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Torrance, Guadalupe, De Baca, and Lincoln counties. Including portions of Valencia, Otero, and Chaves counties.

Running to represent this district is incumbent democratic Rep. Melanie Stansbury, opposing her is Republican Steve Jones.

They both joined us in our KOB 4 studio Thursday night.
