Crews get RV fire under control in Corrales

CORRALES, N.M. — Crews have got an RV fire in Corrales under control.

Officials say the first 911 call about the fire came in at 3:25 p.m., saying that an RV was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire spread to some of the surrounding Cottonwood trees, according to Commander Tanya Lattin of Corrales Fire. The fire also spread to the attic of the house it was parked at.

There were reports of explosions, likely from propane tanks.

Units from multiple fire departments responded. The fire was under control by 5 p.m., but units are still on scene to clear up any hot spots. There are no reported injuries to any residents or firefighters.

Arson is not suspected at this time.
