Deadly shooting under APD investigation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A person was shot and killed overnight in northwest Albuquerque.
Albuquerque police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 12th Street and Candelaria Road. When they arrived, they found one person who had succumbed to their injuries, which prompted homicide detectives to the scene.
Details are limited.
By our count, this would be the 70th homicide APD has investigated this year. At this point last year, 67 homicides were under investigation.
