Ex Novo gets city financial backing for new downtown location
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Ex Novo Brewing Company is getting a grant from the City of Albuquerque for its new, forthcoming downtown location.
Ex Novo will get $75,000 from the Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency’s Storefront Activation Grant program. The brewing company will use that money to overhaul an old auto shop at Seventh and Central into their new location.
“We’re investing in the success of downtown because we believe in the potential it has to be an anchor of opportunity and fun for Albuquerque families,” Mayor Tim Keller said. “We’re so happy to see a local success story like this one writing its next chapter downtown with the help of this transformative City program.”
The new Ex Novo location will feature a full-service taproom and restaurant. The front parking lot will also transform into a large patio with a beer garden, cafe and bar.
The location is set to open next summer.
