Neighborhood Nature Festival coming to Phil Chacon Park this Saturday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The next Neighborhood Nature Festival will take place this Saturday in southeast Albuquerque.
These park pop-up events will occur Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Phil Chacon Park and the Cesar Chavez Community Center.
The festivals are intended to celebrate nature within Albuquerque neighborhoods. The Saturday festival will feature a musical performance, bilingual nature storytelling and puppet show, carnival performers, bosque ecosystem traveling exhibit truck, hands-on activities and games, a bike repair clinic and even free popsicles.
Joy Wang talked with Jessica Sapunar-Jursich, the City of Albuquerque’s Open Space Coordinator and Education Supervisor, who discussed full details of what will be happening this Saturday.
