SANTA FE, N.M. – Nearly a month after actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy, and one of their dogs were found dead at their Santa Fe county home, video is showing what law enforcement officers saw when they got to the scene.

KOB 4 received the videos Friday from the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office. There is well over an hour of video from several different deputies who were the first to arrive. 

We are looking through all of these videos. Most of the videos are from outside the Hackman home in Santa Fe. Deputies are interviewing the workers who found Gene and Arakawa in February.  

The medical examiner has determined Betsy died from hantavirus, while Gene died several days later from a combination of heart disease and Alzheimer’s.
