PHOTOS: Early morning snow blankets New Mexico
NEW MEXICO — Snow moved into northern and western New Mexico overnight and left many places with some picturesque scenery Thursday morning.
In Gallup, Shawna DuBoise captured this pretty scenery before sunrise. The streetlights make the snow glisten over the trees and rooftops.
Northern New Mexico has dealt with some treacherous road conditions. The main hill on NM-502, going into Los Alamos was closed due to severe driving conditions.
In nearby White Rock, Cecelia Erickson captured this view from her front window Thursday morning.
Santa Fe may have seen the worst of the rough winter weather. Authorities briefly closed Interstate 25 due to a crash caused by snow and ice hitting south of Santa Fe near La Bajada.
Near the I-25 and Cerrillos exit, Michelle Wright captured these images, including a snow total measurement – 5 inches!
All of that snow was no problem for Brownie the Basenji mix who Alice Kathleen Vigil said enjoyed the snow Thursday.
