Power failure cancels Friday classes at Rio Rancho High School
RIO RANCHO, N.M. — Students at Rio Rancho High School will be out of the classroom Friday due to an electrical power failure.
High school officials said Thursday night the staff worked to find a solution throughout the evening. However, it didn’t appear they would be able to restore the power in time for school.
Officials say there were concerns about security and IT systems running properly with these power issues.
All other RRPS schools will be in session Friday. RRHS will be back in session Monday.
The Rio Rancho High School Homecoming game and afterschool activities are set to go on as scheduled.
