ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The state’s Cannabis Control Division reported Tuesday that retailers sold nearly $38 million in recreational and medical cannabis combined last month.
“Adult-use” cannabis – what the state is calling recreational sales – is making up a majority of the sales.
Overall, Albuquerque makes up a vast majority of marijuana sales statewide.
In May, the Duke City saw $7.3 million in recreational sales and in June – $7 million.
Santa Fe, Las Cruces and Rio Rancho are next in line with the biggest sales numbers.
But Sunland Park and Hobbs continue to punch way above their weight, with some Texas money likely coming in.
Last month, Hobbs and Sunland Park both did over $1.2 million in recreational marijuana sales.
Total sales in June: $37,736,905.52
Medical sales: $16,525,897.79
Adult-use sales: $21,201,007.71
