Rio Grande Rivalry: Aggies and Lobos announce upcoming basketball dates
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Officials with the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State have announced their Rio Grande Rivalry games for the next year.
The in-state showdown is set to resume on Saturday, Dec. 2 in Albuquerque when both the men’s and women’s teams will travel to The Pit.
Later in the month, the Aggies’ and Lobos’ men’s basketball programs will return to Las Cruces for a Dec. 15 meeting at the Pan American Center. Both teams have not met in Las Cruces since Nov. 30, 2021.
Tipoff times have not been announced yet.
The games were canceled last year following a deadly shooting on campus at UNM, involving an NMSU player.
