ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico is expected to have another very active afternoon with showers and thunderstorms across the state.
The focus Tuesday will be in the north and the east – several areas could see some heavy rain, especially the southeast. No flash flood watches have been posted yet but that is likely for later on.
High temperatures this afternoon will be in the 80s and mid to upper 90s.
There will be a little less storm coverage Wednesday and Thursday and hotter temps as we track into the weekend.
Santa Fe has a high 50-60% probability of showers and storms and a top temperature of 84°. East Mountains can expect mid to upper 80s and a moderate 30% chance of storms. Albuquerque has just a slight chance of storms but if they do pop up, we could see some heavy rain and a high of 88° in the Heights and 90° in the valley.
