ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — One of five teens accused in a March homicide at an Albuquerque gas station is out of jail.
Judge Cindy Leos denied the pretrial motion for 17-year-old Caprice Sicilia.
Police said Sicilia was part of a group that started shooting at an SUV at the Maverik gas station near Comanche and I-25. Kayla Montano, a young mother, was killed.
Police said it was a case of mistaken identity – and the teens were targeting another person who had attacked them earlier in the night.
If you would like to help Kayla Montaño’s family, a GoFundMe page has been set up.
