Water tanker delivered to San Miguel County for fire victims
SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, N.M. — The Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority delivered a potable water tanker to San Miguel County Wednesday in order to assist in recovery efforts from the Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak Fire.
The 5,000 gallon tanker is stationed near the Sapello Rociada Volunteer Fire Department for use by residents affected by the fire.
Many homes in the area do not have electricity to run their private wells or their well equipment has been damaged by the fires.
