Will lawmakers tackle juvenile crime in New Mexico?

Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman has been loudly pushing for harsher punishments for juvenile offenders.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman has been loudly pushing for harsher punishments for juvenile offenders.

But a lot of his ideas have seen relatively slow starts this session, and people on both sides of this issue are digging in.

4 Investigator Ryan Laughlin has been doing a deep dive on juvenile justice in a series called “Missing Pieces.”
