Former New Mexico Congresswoman Xochitl Torres Small has a new job. She’s taking over as the deputy secretary of Agriculture.

Torres Small received bipartisan support during the confirmation process from the U.S. Senate. The vote was 84-8.

She previously served as the under secretary for Rural Development.
